Our History
A Decade of Preservation
Ten years ago, a shared vision took root in the heart of the Dives marshes. A collective of researchers, volunteers, and local residents recognized the fragile beauty of this unique ecosystem and committed to its protection. Thus, LES AMIS DU MARAIS DE LA DIVES was born, embarking on a journey of study, preservation, and community engagement.
What began as a small group of passionate individuals quickly grew into a structured organization dedicated to the valorization of our natural heritage. We understood early on that true conservation requires both scientific rigor and deep community roots.

From Grassroots to Global Standards
Over the past decade, our efforts have transformed from grassroots initiatives into comprehensive conservation programs. We have successfully restored hectares of natural habitats, ensuring the survival of countless local species.
Our collaborations with scientific institutions have yielded invaluable data, guiding our sustainable management practices and enriching our understanding of this complex wetland. Every water sample taken, every bird ringed, and every plant cataloged has contributed to a robust scientific foundation for our ongoing work.

"But preservation is not just about the land; it's about the people who inhabit it. Through our educational activities, we have fostered a deep connection between the community and the marshes."
We share scientific knowledge, raise environmental awareness, and empower the next generation of stewards. As we look to the future, our commitment remains unwavering. The next decade will bring new challenges, but with the continued support of our community, the Dives marshes will thrive.
